Shaun has been in the blinds industry for 30 years. He started out working for another firm, before founding Cassidy's in 1990.
Shaun, who has been married to Sue for 31 years, has two children, James, who is employed at the firm, and Lauren, who works in events management.
Sue also works for the family business as the Company Secretary.
Shaun, a passionate Hull FC supporter, is proud of the company he has built from nothing, and said it has a real family atmosphere.
James started working at Cassidy's as a 16-year-old schoolboy, spending his school holidays manufacturing on the shop floor.
On leaving school, he went to Sheffield Hallam University, where he completed a history degree, but he always intended to return to Hull, to work in the family business.
He made the move back to Cassidy's in 2005, when his role was Business Development Manager. James was promoted to his current role at the beginning of 2012.
Carolyn has worked at Cassidy's since the company first started, and her role is to manage the curtain and blind-making department.
Carolyn is one of the public faces of the company, as she will go out and meet the clients, going into their homes to offer her considerable knowledge and expertise.
She measures homes and businesses for curtains or blinds, and is a fountain of knowledge on fabric and interior design.
Helen, who has completed a BTEC in Business and Finance, started as an administrator at Cassidy's 23 years ago, when she was 18.
She was promoted to office manager 15 years ago, and now oversees finance and purchasing.
Marie joined the company in 2007, working in Credit Control. She later moved into customer services, and is now responsible for pricing orders, invoicing, and general office duties.
Marie, who has an NVQ in business administration, said one of the best aspects of her role is building a rapport with clients, and speaking to members of the public.
